Vintage 1989 Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay 5 White Rosewood w/OSHC
Up for sale, an amazing and rare to find 1989 Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay 5 Bass (5 Strings) in a stunning (beautifully yellowed) White color with Birdseye Maple neck and Rosewood fretboard. Made in San Luis Obispo, California USA. The StingRay 5 was released in 1987 in just a few quantities during the late ’80’s and became more popular later in the early nineties, hence these late 1980’s instruments are so special.
10.2 Lbs, which is average and not too bad for a StingRay 5.
The bass is 100% all original. This is great example from a late ’80s StingRay with 6-bolt neck and the truss rod wheel at the heel. Also, it comes with the typical MM one piece Birdseye Maple neck that is super straight and it has a slimmer neck profile than most of later StingRay 5 Basses.
Ash contoured body with a 4-ply White Pearloid pickguard and the classic MM pickup with 3-way switch for series/parallel and 3-Band EQ with chrome knobs.
The bass is in Very Good+ condition for being a +35 year old instrument, it has been gently used, there’s minimal wear (just a couple of little dings of the back of the body), some patina and natural discoloration. It definitely has a lot of mojo. the instrument plays amazingly well and all electronics works 100% perfect and it has been used or played with the utmost care. It’s been professionally set and It really plays amazingly well.
It comes with its original black tolex hard case with black interior, which is in great condition with all latches working.
It will be professionally packed, insured and shipped to Continental US and some international destinations. Local pickup in LA is also available.
